For this project I was assigned to pick and illustrate an idiom. I picked the idiom, " ignorance is bliss." I wanted to focus on how ignorance helps blind us to things that make us uncomfortable or uneasy in our every day lives.
So I decided to illustrate a telephone post covered in different kinds of signs from the community asking for help or reaching out. I focused on subjects like missing children posters or missing animal posters. The smiley face stickers are meant to represent how we block out anything that makes us uncomfortable.
